My Strength And My Weakness…

Strength. Strength here means the good or the advantageous quality of any living being. Weakness means the field in which any living being is weak. Now that I’ve done explaining the ‘topic’ on which I’m going to write about, I’ll now start elaborating it.

My Strength:
Ahh… I guess you can say that I’m pretty good at stuff like running, doing somersaults, studies, English writing skills and fighting and you can also say I’m brave too! Well I don’t know whether or not I should say that I’m good at singing (English songs) because of my voice. It’s kinda fit for shouting as I got the first in the shouting competition held in my apartments. But don’t expect me to be singing for you as I am really shy when I’ve got to sing for a large number of people. I am really good at writing articles and talking formerly as well as talking friend-lyish. And I always aim for the stars.

My Weakness:
Well I am really weak when it comes to small things such as doing ‘extra’ work and I always think of shortcuts!!! I am no good when it comes to playing with ball such as throwing! I am so poor at it that it wouldn’t even go past the next. I am also poor at aiming anything that is to be thrown and catching it also! L Well besides running I’ve got just a little stamina!!! I really feel tired after going a whole round around the playground. And that’s the reason why I’m going to athletics! To increase my speed as well as my stamina level! Ad I really love that place!!! J

Well I guess this much should do. The next blog I’m gonna put my drawing of Sergeant Keroro!

Slumdog Millonaire Sweeps at The Oscars, 2009!

Slumdog Millionaire has swept the Academy Awards, winning eight Oscars including the coveted best picture and best director.

The night of triumph sealed the Mumbai-set British film’s unlikely dominance of Hollywood’s glittering award season.
The Oscar haul equals that of Richard Attenborough’s Gandhi, which scooped eight Oscars in 1983, though falls short of The English Patient, Anthony Minghella's Second World War romance, which won nine Academy Awards in 1997.
Slumdog, a rags-to-riches fairy tale about an orphan who appears on India’s version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, had already accrued a wealth of awards in the build-up to the Oscars, including seven Baftas and four Golden Globes, and was favourite in most of the 10 categories in which it was nominated, including best picture.
It beat fellow nominees The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, Milk, and The Reader to win the award, the last of the night, which was announced by Steven Spielberg.
Accepting the best picture statuette, Christian Colson, the film’s British producer, said the production was “a collaboration between hundreds of people”.
He made reference to the fact the low-budget film almost failed to get released.
"Together we've been on an extraordinary journey,” he said, surrounded by members of the cast and crew. “When we started out, we had no stars, we had no power or muscle.
"We didn't have enough money, really, to do what we wanted to do. But what we had was a script that inspired mad love in everyone who read it.
"We had a genius for a director, we had a cast and a crew who were unwavering in their commitment and whose talents are up on the screen for you to see."
“Most of all we had passion and belief. And our film shows that if you have those two things, anything is possible.”
Earlier Danny Boyle picked up the coveted best director Oscar for Slumdog, which has made around $150 million worldwide since its November release.
The film also won Oscars for best adapted screenplay, best original score and song, best sound mixing, film editing and cinematography.
Only seven other films in the 81-year-history of the Oscars have won eight or more awards.
Slumdog’s haul overtook that of Shakespeare in Love, which won seven statuettes in 1999 and was the last British film to dominate the Oscars.

Hey Monday!

Oh Man! I really gotta say this and it is that this band is utterly the best, no even a more superlative degree than best! Hey Monday... And currently I'm going to put up a post on this band! Well to me what's really cool and surprising is that their band consists of a lead singer as a girl and the other members as guys! Man that is a cool band!

Hey Monday is an American alternative rock band from West Palm Beach, Florida, Unite States. The band consists of Cassadee Pope (lead vocals), Michael "Jersey" Moriarty (bass guitar), Mike Gentile (lead guitar), Alex Lipshaw (rhythm guitar), Elliot James (drums) and Bobby Nolan (Keyboard).

History
Alex Wilhelm of A&R and music industry site CrazedHits.com discovered and featured Hey Monday while the band was unsigned and performed under the name "Blake".
The group started touring on September 22nd, 2008 with The Cab, The Academy Is..., We The Kings, A Rocket to the Moon, This Providence and Carolina Liar, to support the release of their debut album.
Their debut album Hold on Tight was released worldwide on October 7th, 2008 via Decaydance and Columbia Records. Their 1st single off the album "Homecoming" was featured on the CitizensFOB mix-tape. Lead singer Cassadee was also featured in the song "Take My Hand" by The Cab on the mixtape. Cassadee also made an appearance in Fall Out Boy's video "America's Suitehearts". Hey Monday will be supporting Fall Out Boy throughout 2009 on their tour, which takes place in the U.K. and many parts of mainland Europe, as well as Japan, Singapore, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. Hey Monday will also be performing in the Believers Never Die (Part Deux) tour through April and May of 2009, touring with Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, All Time Low, and Metro Station.

My Academic Life

Ahh…Finally! My report card day has got over, and I scored 87%. Not a good score right? Well that’s how it is for me! I’m usually a 90% getter, but after stepping into the 8th grade, all my scores dropped! I guess if this is how my scores are in 8th, and then I guess it’s unimaginable in the 9th and 10th grades! But I’ll tell you something and I’ll keep up to it, that is, I’ll get 90% and above in my unit tests and in my last term too! Well even my pal, Docky or Dockyard says that after she got transferred to our school, she to isn’t able to get grades above 90%, as she got so in her previous school; except for the 1st unit test when she got 90%, and said that she wasn’t happy with that! Well my percent in the first unit was so damn terrible, that I don’t feel like telling it! And in the second unit test I was so close to 90% by ½ mark! (Sad)! But I know that if I were to put more hard work in all my subjects I’ll go pass 90% and will be happy! In my first term results, well I guess they were 88% and you can say that I dropped by 1 percent and I know I’ve to make up to that! Well to be frank I can write good articles, stories (if I have the patience), guided compositions, essays and other writing skill concepts other than postcard! I’m really bad at this! I got 3½ on 5 for the II – Term postcard! But at the other parts like grammar, composition and literature; I’m good at those! As a matter of fact I got the highest in English in my class (86 on 100)! I really love my English teacher and I dream to be a great journalist or an archaeologist as I’m really interested in English and History alone! I also dream to write a lot of articles and get them posted in the hillside magazine or the class magazine or the newspapers! I can just say that a part of my dreams is being fulfilled, as I and my friend is the president of the class magazine! Well, I guess this much should do for my academics!

Welcome to my world of Harmony …

“The Ocean is a mighty harmonist” – William Wordsworth.
“Music has a poetry of it’s own, and that poetry is called Melody…” – Asagiri Melody.

Well ‘til now I had posted a blog deliberately on my favorite anime and had kinda explained about it too (I guess). Well now I think it’s time for me to talk about music, the 2nd reason for living my life. And my 1st reason is to enjoy my life! Coming back to the track, music or sound or harmony or be it anything but, to me sometime is a friend as well as an annoying thing. It’s a friend to me in a way like, never minds how my temper is; doesn’t care about my character and is always there where ever I go or where ever I am. Be it the pleasant sound of the nature while meditating in the school or the racketing sound the guys in my class. It’s always with everyone. No one can eliminate sound, other than the deaf, whom I feel sorry, as they can’t experience this wonderful thing. I feel it annoying at times when they keep loud woofers, as I find it difficult to breathe at that time. Listening it when I don’t want to like, when I’m angry, restless, and frustrated! Sometimes I kinda need it when I’m frustrated, as it stops me from hearing the outside world, especially from Anushka (that irritating girl)! I believe that the first sound was that of Mother Nature. Or may be the sound of “Big Bang”. Well I think so because when ever there’s a bang, and then there ought to be a sound too. Only after all these do I listen to the songs written and sung by artists. Well to me music means the tune and the harmony of nature and the songs sung by people. I’ve got a huge list of my favorite singers and I think I can jot some down here. My favorite artists are: Avril Lavigne, Linkin Park, Green Day, Akon, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Abingdon Boys School, Sum 41, Ne-Yo, The Killers, Soulja Boys, Backstreet Boys, Shakira, Hilary Duff, The Click 5, Simple Plan, Dido, Taio Cruz, Eminem, 50 Cent, Blues, Cascada, Enrique Iglesias, Michael Andrews, Flo-Rida, Rickey Martin, Vanessa Hudgenes, Crazy Frog, Suga Shikao, Daddy Yankee, Westlife, Teriyaki Boyz, Tokio Hotel, Chris Brown, Juno, Evanscene, Vengaboys, System Of A Down, The Fray etc etc… I told you that my list would be never ending… and it hasn’t ended yet, so I think you’d be expecting more in the future. Well I’m sure you can see the ‘Cute Hello Kitty Playlist’ that I’ve got, you can hear some of the songs by those artists in that too. I’m sure you’ll like it. I also have a taste for books, and I think you can also say that I’m a bibliophile, as I love books. You’ll see about them later in another post. Till then hope you’ll enjoy reading and like this blog!
